MCNAIR SAYS HE'S TALKED TO KRAFT ABOUT HOUSTON OPPORTUNITY

          Houston's Bob McNair "has set his sights on purchasing
     the Patriots and moving them to Texas," according to Kevin
     Mannix of the BOSTON HERALD.  McNair sent letters to nine
     NFL teams to let them know he was interested in purchasing a
     franchise and moving it to Houston.  McNair: "I've already
     talked with [Patriots Owner] Bob Kraft.  He's in the middle
     of negotiations to improve his stadium situation.  If he's
     not able to improve that situation, then certainly we're
     going to visit."  Kraft and his son, Jonathan, "did not
     return phone calls" for comment (BOSTON HERALD, 3/10).
