          PEOPLE & PERSONALITIES: Former NFL QB Pat Ryan will be
     the Titans' radio analyst next season (PHILADELPHIA
     INQUIRER, 2/14)....Former Georgetown coach John Thompson
     will host a one-hour daily talk show on DC's WTEM-AM during
     the NCAA Men's basketball tournament in March (WASHINGTON
     POST, 2/13)....In N.Y., Bob Raissman reported that members
     of an ABC Sports crew were "not happy about the
     restrictions" placed on them during Dan Dierdorf's final
     appearance at the Pro Bowl.  Raissman: "Spies say that
     during the game one ABC Sports staffer could be heard
     apologizing to Dierdorf, saying the crew was told not to
     prepare a video-clip tribute to a man who had spent 12
     seasons in the 'Monday Night Football' booth" (N.Y. DAILY
     NEWS, 2/14)....In St. Paul, Charley Walters wrote that Paul
     Molitor will be paid $200,000 for broadcasting 40 Twins
     games on Midwest Sports Channel (PIONEER PRESS, 2/14).  
          RATINGS NOTES: NBC earned a preliminary overnight
     Nielsen rating of a 5.7/11 for Sunday's Pacers-Lakers game
     (NBC)....The final round of the Buick Invit'l on CBS, won by
     Tiger Woods, received a 6.4 overnight rating, up 64% over
     last year's broadcast on NBC (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 2/16).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown. SBJ’s Tom Friend also joins the show to share his insights into NBA viewership trends.
