FRANCHISE NOTES

Patriots Owner Bob Kraft "plans on signing a stadium
development" deal with CT, which is "expected to include
ample opportunities" for the state or the team "to walk
away" by mutual agreement if real estate issues "are not
speedily resolved" (BOSTON GLOBE, 2/10). Patriots Dir of
Media Relations Stacey James: "We fully expect to sign the
development agreement no later than Thursday" (HARTFORD
COURANT, 2/10)....The DAILY SOUTHTOWN's Paul Ladewski
reports that Bulls PA announcer Ray Clay did not refer to
the team as "your world champion Chicago Bulls" during
pregame introductions at their home opener last night, per
"orders" from VP/Marketing Steve Schanwald (DAILY SOUTHTOWN,
2/10)....The deal between Ticketmaster and the city of K.C.,
which allows Ticketmaster to handle all phone orders for
single-game ticket sales, was called a "disservice" to fans
by the IHL Blades. Blades Dir of Arena Management Tom
Morelock: "We hear it from fans all the time. As an
example, we called Ticketmaster the other day, and we were
put on hold for nine minutes" (K.C. STAR, 2/10).
