BASEBALL HAS A VISION OF A NEW GRASS ROOTS MARKETING PLAN

          Major League Alumni Marketing (MLAM), a subsidiary of
     the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association
     (MLBPAA), has acquired VA-based Marketing Venture Partners
     (MVP) to give MLAM an in-house marketing division.  MLAM
     plans to launch "Baseball, Vision 2010," a youth-oriented
     marketing campaign.  Del Wilber, former head of MVP, will
     serve as President & CEO of MLAM.  MLAM will also handle
     marketing and promo rights to Hall of Fame Red Sox OF Ted
     Williams around the All-Star Game, including all public
     appearances and the use of his name and likeness (MLAM).
