RAVENS INK $100M DEAL WITH PSINET FOR STADIUM NAMING RIGHTS

The Ravens have signed a 20-year, $104M naming rights
and media agreement with VA-based ISP PSINet, according to
Terry Lefton of BRANDWEEK. The Ravens and ProServ have been
"pitching" a package that would include "wrapping" the
stadium title with "media on and entitlement of local Ravens
shoulder programming and pre-season games and radio; the
only permanent sign on the main scoreboard; space in all
Ravens publications, corporate name on seat cupholders and
involvement in grass roots programs." Ravens VP/Marketing
David Cope would not comment (BRANDWEEK, 1/25 issue). In
Baltimore, Jon Morgan wrote that an announcement on the deal
"is expected in the next week." The team "had been seeking
more than" $3M per year for naming rights (SUN, 1/24).
