FL COUNTY TO SUE BUCS IF TEAM DOESN'T REVEAL LEASES

          Three years after approving $318M in tax funding for a
     new stadium for the Bucs, the Hillsborough County Commission
     voted Wednesday to sue the team if it won't "hand over
     copies of the leases for the 168 skyboxes at Raymond James
     Stadium," according to Francis Gilpin of the TAMPA TRIBUNE. 
     Attorneys for the county say the Bucs' deal with the
     commission "requires" them to make terms of the skybox
     leases available to the Tampa Sports Authority.  County
     attorney Emeline Acton said the team has refused to turn
     over the leases.  The commission and Hillsborough Property
     Appraiser Rob Turner "want the documents to see" whether the
     Bucs or the businesses/fans who rent skyboxes "should pay"
     real estate taxes or "if the suites are taxable at all." 
     Bucs attorney Edward Brennan said that the team "has
     offered" blank leases to the commission without the names of
     renters or the amount of the rent.  The team has until
     Friday to make the leases public (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 1/14).
