          An anonymous telephone bidder paid $3.005M last night
     at Guernsey's auction house for MARK MCGWIRE's 70th HR ball. 
     The ball was retrieved by 26-year-old PHILIP OZERSKY, who
     said, "It's amazing, I guess, but it's not surprising, not
     in a day and age when ballplayers get $105 million
     contracts.  Anything's possible now. ... I'm glad I did
     this.  I was just a research scientist; now I'm a media
     star" (WASHINGTON POST, 1/13)....The OTTAWA SUN profiles
     WARREN MILLER ENTERTAINMENT, and co-Owner KURT MILLER said
     he expects the company to take in more than C$13M this year,
     half of which will come from the company's latest film,
     "Freeriders" (OTTAWA CITIZEN, 1/13)....T-Wolves Owner GLEN
     TAYLOR underwent triple bypass heart surgery at the Mayo
     Clinic on Tuesday.  There are no details of Taylor's current

     "officially declared his candidacy for president and set up
     headquarters in West Orange [NJ]" (WASHINGTON POST, 1/13).
     ...Former Dodgers Exec VP FRED CLAIRE will teach a class

     at the Univ. of Southern CA's Annenberg School for
