FACILITY NOTES

          In Milwaukee, minority welding subcontractor James
     Greer has sued Edward E. Gillen Co., the contractor who
     built Miller Park's foundations, for $200,000, "saying he
     was underpaid by Gillen by at least that amount."  A Gillen
     spokeperson said that the firm "paid Greer fairly" and that
     it would "fight the suit" (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 12/18)....In
     Ft. Worth, John Sturbin writes that Texas Motor Speedway
     Exec VP/GM Eddie Gossage is looking to bring more races to
     the track in addition to the IRL season-finale and a second
     NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series night race it acquired for
     '99.  Gossage: "The challenge we have is to hold more and
     more events -- and feed the monster" (STAR-TELEGRAM, 12/18).
