BORNSTEIN SAYS THAT MONDAY NIGHT NEEDS NO SHARPE-NING

ESPN Chair/ABC Sports President Steve Bornstein
dismissed reports that ESPN analyst Sterling Sharpe "is
being considered" to replace Dan Dierdorf on ABC's "Monday
Night Football." Bornstein: "Nothing's going on. I like
our Monday Night Football crew." Dierdorf: "I'm glad
(Bornstein) said that. With some big games coming up, the
contract's a distraction to me" (USA TODAY, 12/9).
NAMES: Sportscorp President Marc Ganis signed an
exclusive agreement with CNNfn to appear regularly on CNNfn
and CNN Financial News programs. Ganis will provide
commentary and analysis of sports business news (CNNfn).
...Wayne Larrivee, the radio voice of the Bears for the last
13 years, "appears set" to become the next voice of the
Packers, as Milwaukee's WTMJ-AM VP/GM Jon Schweitzer said
that the station "was talking with Larrivee and that the two
