HERE WE GROW AGAIN: FAMILY GOLF CENTERS ACQUIRES FOUR CLUBS

          NY-based Family Golf Centers has acquired four golf
     facilities: Timber Ridge in K.C., Coyote Creek in Vancouver,
     Douglasdale in Calgary and Pine Canyon in NJ.  The company
     also signed letters of intent to acquire facilities in
     Portland, OR, San Diego and Thunder Bay, Ontario.  Excluding
     those three properties, Family Golf Centers now owns,
     operates or is constructing 116 golf centers in the U.S. and
     Canada (Family Golf Centers).  On the NYSE, shares of Family
     Golf Centers closed Thursday at 13 9/16 up 1 from Wednesday,
     and was trading as high as 17 1/2 this morning (THE DAILY).
