TICKETMASTER TO MAKE IT EASIER (OR HARDER?) TO BUY TICKETS

Ticketmaster "plans to expand on-line sales in October
by launching My Ticketmaster, a Web site complementing the
company's on-line, phone and box office sales," according to
USA TODAY's Bruce Haring. Users at my.ticketmaster.com will
get "up-to-the-minute notification" of when tickets will go
on sale "via a ticker that can be transported to the PC
desktop." As a result, "coveted tickets" such as the World
Series or NCAA Tournament "that usually sell out in minutes
probably will be gone even faster." Ticketmaster also has
software that will let PC users check the view from any seat
at about 80 venues before buying tickets (USA TODAY, 9/29).
