          In his opening argument, Heaven Corp. attorney DEAN
     DICKIE "highlighted the role" of DAVID FALK in "committing"
     MICHAEL JORDAN to appear in the company's '91 film, "Heaven
     Is a Playground."  But Jordan attorney, FREDERICK SPERLING,
     said the $16-20M lawsuit over Jordan's non-appearance in the
     film is "about blaming others for your own mistakes, about
     failing to take responsibility for your own actions"
     (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 9/16).  Jordan is expected to testify
     next week, and the case is expected to last "about a month"
     (AP, 9/16)....Twins DH PAUL MOLITOR was named the winner of
     the 7th Annual Branch Rickey Award for community service 
     (Denver Rotary Club)....CHRIS ROCK "is attached to star" in
     "The Spin Doctor," a film about "what happens when, on the
     eve of the NBA playoffs, the NEW YORK KNICKS hire
     Manhattan's top spin doctor (Rock) to rehabilitate the image
     of their hot-headed star forward who is on the verge of
     being thrown out of the league" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 9/16).
