FOX/LIBERTY'S FIT TV'S MAKEOVER INCLUDES SPORTS EMPHASIS

          Fit TV President Pyper Davis said that she "is talking
     to women athletes and women's sporting event organizers
     about being part of the first-ever women's sports and
     fitness channel," according to Liz Mullen of the
     SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL.  Davis, recently named Fit TV
     President, "is now working on original programming, both
     women's health and fitness shows and sporting events," for a
     relaunch scheduled for January 1 (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL,
     8/31 issue).  Fit TV will have a "new logo and on-air look,"
     and use the tag "The 24-hour fitness, health and lifestyle
     network for women" (Jim McConville, ELECTRONIC MEDIA, 8/31).
