EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The Broncos named JOE ELLIS as VP/Business Operations.
     Ellis, the team's Dir of Marketing from '83 to '85, replaces
     DAVID WASS, who recently resigned.  Ellis will work
     "closely" with the development of the Broncos' new stadium
     (GAZETTE-TELEGRAPH, 9/1)....The Vikings formally named JEFF
     DIAMOND as Senior VP/Football Operations; RAND GOTTLIEB as
     VP/Business Operations and BOB HAGAN as Dir of PR (PIONEER
     PRESS, 9/1)....The USOC General Counsel and Dir of Legal
     Affairs RON ROWAN has resigned after 18 years (GAZETTE-
     TELEGRAPH, 9/1).  The USOC named CHARLES PATTI as Senior
     Budget Manager; GARY MEHLE Accounting Manager; and LARRY
     NORBY and ISABELLA MATHEWS as Staff Accountants (USOC).
