In the SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Andy Bernstein reports
that the NHL is bringing back its "Game On!" slogan last
used in '95. "Game On!" has also been adopted by "several
NHL teams for their own marketing purposes." The NHL will
use the "Game ONe" slogan for promos surrounding the annual
season-opening game in Tokyo (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/31).
DEALS: The PGA Tour Championship named GA-based
Southern Company as a co-presenting sponsor of the '98
event, October 26-November 1 at the East Lake Golf Club in
Atlanta. Southern Company joins Mercedes-Benz, a co-
presenting sponsor of four years (PGA Tour)....In St. Paul,
Charley Walters reports that agent Bill Duffy will represent
Zeljko Rebraca, a "top player in Europe," whose signing
rights are owned by the T-Wolves. Duffy also reps T-Wolves
top draft pick Radislav Nesterovic (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS,

(Woolf)....Southwest Airlines breaks an "approximately" $30M
football-themed campaign this Sunday on all of the NFL's TV
partners. The five-week campaign, created by TX-based
GSD&M, "is humorous and features women" and has the tag:
"Must be football season" (AD AGE, 8/31 issue).
