MARINO TAKES LEMIEUX'S SUIT BACK TO COURT WITH OBJECTIONS

Penguins co-Owner Roger Marino filed his objections to
the $33M lawsuit filed against him by Mario Lemieux,
according to Christopher Zurawsky of the Pittsburgh TRIBUNE-
REVIEW. Among the objections, filed in Allegheny County
Court, is a "claim that Lemieux failed to include a
documentation that Marino needs to defend himself." The
objections also "contest Lemieux's claim" that Marino
interfered with the team's contractual obligations to him.
Neither Marino nor his attorney, James Weisman, would
comment. Lemieux's agent, Tom Reich, wouldn't comment
     either (Christopher Zurawsky, TRIBUNE-REVIEW, 9/1).
STEEL INTEREST IN PENS: Pens co-Owner Howard Baldwin is
"finding no shortage of potential investors" in his effort
to buy out Marino. Baldwin's financial advisor, Thomas
Ruta, said that potential investors include "a group from
Pittsburgh and a company with ties to Pittsburgh." Another
source said Baldwin has "secured a Boston investment banking
firm to help him round up investors" (TRIBUNE-REVIEW, 9/1).
