THE RETURN PHI SLAMMA JAMMA: DREXLER A REVENUE BOOSTER

          Univ. of Houston AD Chet Gladchuk "places" new men's
     basketball coach Clyde Drexler's "economic impact at nearly"
     $1.5M at the ticket window, according to Jerry Wizig of the
     HOUSTON CHRONICLE.  The Cougars have sold almost 5,000
     season tickets at $150 each, more than 250 VIP floor seats
     at $1,000 per and 20 luxury boxes being built on the
     concourse level.  The luxury boxes cost $15,000 a season for
     a three-year lease (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 8/24).  Houston's
     KTBU-TV, a new station, "has reached a multiyear agreement
     to carry an undetermined number of UH basketball games
     beginning this fall" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 8/25).
