NAMES IN THE NEWS

          The producers for Fox's "ALLY MCBEAL" were in Boston
     yesterday, shooting some scenes at Fenway Park.  None of the
     show's stars attended, and neither did the Red Sox, who are
     in Texas on a road trip (BOSTON HERALD, 8/6)....ROLLING
     STONE's "Hot List" names MLB Cardinals draft pick J.D. DREW
     as its "Hot Bonus Baby."  ESPN's STUART SCOTT, whom the mag
     says "fits perfectly into this, the hip-hop era of sports,"
     is named "Hot Sportscaster," and the TIMBERWOLVES are tabbed
     as the "Hot NBA Team," with ROLLING STONE citing their
     "youth, good uniforms and great TV commercials (can't get
     enough of those Fun Police)" (ROLLING STONE, 8/20)....The
     master of science in sports administration at CANISUS
     COLLEGE received full accreditation from the NORTH AMERICAN
     SOCIETY OF SPORT MANAGEMENT, making it the only school in NY
     State to be recognized by the organization, and one of only
     12 schools in the world to offer master's level sport
     management/ administrations programs (Canisus College).
