TYSON THE TALK OF THE SPORTS REPORTERS

ESPN's Tony Kornheiser, on MIKE TYSON'S NJ hearing
last week: "They poked him with the stick enough, he got
angry. So if New Jersey now doesn't want to give him a
license, they don't have to." ESPN's Michael Wilbon: "Let
him go out there and get popped one more time by EVANDER
HOLYFIELD, and then he can quit after he gets knocked out
another time by him." ESPN's Bill Conlin: "I think the
whole thing is beating a dead horse. I don't think this guy
can fight anymore -- boxing is in such a desperate state ...
that they absolutely need him back. New Jersey will give
him a license and he will fight Evander Holyfield again."
Kornheiser: "Ultimately, it's not really about justice in
this situation, it's about money" ("Sports Reporters," 8/2).
