IRVINE, CA, RELEASES POLLS IN FAVOR OF NFL TEAM AND STADIUM

          A survey released Friday by Irvine, CA, shows that 66%
     of businesses and 72% of residents like Irvine as the site
     for a new NFL team and stadium -- "so long as they are
     privately financed," according to Leon Teeboom of the ORANGE
     COUNTY REGISTER.  The survey was conducted in two parts. 
     Arthur Anderson conducted the business poll over a six-week
     period in May and June and got responses from 547 businesses
     with at least $5M in annual revenue and/or at least 100
     employees.  CA-based Adam D. Probolsky & Associates surveyed
     500 county residents in a separate poll conducted May 24-28. 
     The results also showed that 34% of businesses and 28% of
     the residents polled would be interested in buying PSLs to
     help finance a stadium (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 8/1).
