STARGAMES ANNOUNCES NEW ELITE PRO VOLLEYBALL SERIES

7.24.1998

          MA-based StarGames announced the creation of the Best
     of the Beach Pro Beach Volleyball Series, which began Friday
     with the '98 OP Best of the Beach Invitational for women. 
     The Series will be centered around a selection of top
     events, including the Best of the Beach Cup, the Best of the
     Beach Invitational for men and the Best of the Beach Open,
     each of which will feature both men's and women's
     competitions.  The Series, which will be owned and operated
     by P.S. StarGames, will be shown on ESPN and ESPN2 on a
     taped delayed basis on dates to be determined (StarGames).
