OAKLEY TO LAUNCH SECOND SHOE; HITS RECORD SALES OF $70M

          Oakley has "completed design" on a watch it plans to
     begin selling late this year, according to Greg Hardesty of
     the ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER.  Details of Oakley's new watch
     "are sketchy," other than that it will be "premium" priced. 
     Hardesty added that Oakley also announced that it plans to
     release in the third quarter a low-top version of its
     recently introduced athletic shoe and that it has completed
     design on a second shoe that is expected to hit stores at
     the end of the year (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 7/23).
          OAKLEY POST RECORD SALES QUARTER: For the second
     quarter ended June 30, Oakley's net income grew 26.2%, to
     $11.2M, on record sales of $70M, which were up 26.8% from
     $55.2M for the same prior year period (Oakley).
