EARLY GOODWILL GAMES RATINGS UP 33% COMPARED TO '94

          TV ratings for the Goodwill Games "continue to be
     stronger than four years ago," according to Steve Zipay of
     NEWSDAY.  After three nights of coverage, TBS is up 33% over
     the 1.2 average rating from the first three nights of the
     '94 Games held in Russia.  Tuesday night's primetime
     coverage earned a 1.7 cable rating, reaching "about" 1.3
     million homes.  Zipay: "Turner executives predicted that
     last night's broadcast also would surpass 1994's fourth
     night of coverage" (Steve Zipay, NEWSDAY, 7/23).
