LEONARD MARSHALL'S PRO STAR BECOMES OFFICIAL NFL LICENSEE

N.Y.-based Pro Star Athletic (PSA), a company co-
founded by former Giants DL Leonard Marshall, has been
licensed by NFLP and the NFLPA's Players Inc to produce
player-focused NFL merchandise. PSA, which has showrooms in
NY and NJ and manufacturing capabilities worldwide, will
produce a selection of team and player-focused items
including jackets, fleecewear, golf shirts, caps, activewear
and accessories. Each PSA item will incorporate both team
logos and a replica player signature. PSA has a license
from the NFL QB Club, and says it has access to every Hall-
of-Fame players' signature. PSA's Fall '98 launch will
include a dual-brand strategy -- Pro Star Athletic and Big
Time Player -- with Pro Star Athletic being available at
department stores and athletic specialty retailers and the
Big Time Player being sold by mass retailers such as Target
and Wal-Mart. Marshall, who serves as President of PSA,
said that after its initial foray into NFL-themed apparel,
the company hopes to expand into other team sports (PSA).
