TO MOVE OR NOT TO MOVE: THAT IS THE NBA'S QUESTION

The NBA "is considering a move" of its NYC league
offices from Fifth Avenue to Times Square, according to Lore
Croghan of CRAIN'S N.Y. BUSINESS. The league "is in talks"
with the Durst Organization about moving its 100,000-square-
foot HQ to a building currently under construction.
Developer Douglas Durst confirmed that the NBA is interested
in the available office space. Conde Nast Publications and
law firm Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom are already
signed on as tenants. The building's "asking rent" is $65
per square foot -- which is "right up there" with the NBA's
current space at Olympic Tower in the city's Plaza District.
The NBA declined comment, as did its broker, former Cushman
& Wakefield Inc. Vice Chair Jerry Cohen, a major shareholder
in the Nets (Lore Croghan, CRAIN'S N.Y. BUSINESS, 7/13).
