RAVENS NEW STADIUM EXPECTS HEAVY FLUSH HOUR TRAFFIC TODAY

Ravens fans will have their first opportunity to buy
single-game tickets for the upcoming season on Saturday when
the team opens its ticket office at its new stadium,
according to Jon Morgan of the Baltimore SUN. Ravens VP/PR
Kevin Byrne said that the team will have "at least" 6,000
tickets to sell for each game at the new 69,000-seat
facility. So far, the team has sold 53,000 of 59,000
available season tickets and PSLs, which means "as many as"
16,000 tickets "could be available" for each game. In other
news, the Ravens are negotiating with singer Aretha Franklin
to give a free concert outside the stadium on September 5,
the night before the team's season opener (Balt. SUN, 7/15).
TOILET HUMOR? Today, several hundred volunteers will
simultaneously flush more than 1,000 toilets and urinals in
the new Ravens stadium in order to "make sure the plumbing
system works." The team has hired a professional comic to
host the event (Jon Morgan, Baltimore SUN, 7/15).
