ADAMS GOLF HAS SUCCESSFUL OPENING ON THE OPEN MARKET

          Adams Golf shares rose 15% Friday, their first day of
     trading on the NASDAQ, as investors bought into the "fast-
     growing maker of the Tight Lies line of clubs despite the
     weak state of the IPO market," according to a BLOOMBERG NEWS
     report.  Adams' shares rose $1.375 to $18.375 as 7.4 million
     shares changed hands.  On Thursday, the company and selling
     shareholders sold six million shares at $16 each, the top of
     the $14-$16 range set by underwriter Lehman Bros.  The sale
     raised $96M (BLOOMBERG/POST-DISPATCH, 7/11).
