COYOTES PLAN SEVERAL ICE PALACES FOR THE VALLEY OF THE SUN

          B.G. Ice Incorporated (BGIce), a business extension of
     the Coyotes, could build as many as 3-5 state-of-the-art ice
     rinks in the Phoenix area within the next 5-10 years,
     according to Bob McManaman of the ARIZONA REPUBLIC.  BGIce
     President Mike O'Hearn, who was promoted to the position on
     Friday, said that the Coyotes' goal is to "spread the wealth
     around the Valley so ice time doesn't become too congested." 
     Exact locations for the potential new sites and dates for
     completion have yet to be determined, but each will include
     "upscale ice surfaces, in addition to Team Shops and,
     ultimately, frequent appearances by Coyotes players." 
     O'Hearn "also figures to be a point man in the Coyotes'
     pursuit of a new arena in the Valley should acceptable
     renovations for hockey not be made at America West Arena"
     within the next 2-3 years (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 7/11).
