HOCKEY LEAGUE ALLIANCE DISCUSSED AT FIRST GLOBAL SEMINAR

          Execs representing a majority of the major hockey
     leagues in the U.S. and Canada, including the NHL, ECHL,
     UHL, CHL, WPHL, WCHL, OHL, IHL and AHL, as well as junior
     leagues and college programs, attended the first annual
     Global Hockey Seminar (GHS) held last week in FL.  Among the
     topics discussed was the formation of a board of
     commissioners similar to that of the NAPBL.  The minor
     league system also agreed to a reciprocal agreement that
     will enforce a hands-off policy on players signed within

     CLARKSON said such an agreement is needed for leagues "to
     protect each other" in the sports marketplace.  GHS was
