HUNT GROUP MAY MAKE ANOTHER OFFER TO GEORGE AND BOBBY BRETT

          The Lamar Hunt-Western Resources group aiming to buy
     the Royals "is considering putting forth another proposal"
     to George and Bobby Brett's group, according to a source of
     Jeffrey Flanagan of the K.C. STAR.  The offer to the Bretts,
     which likely will still be a minority share of around 5-10%,
     "could be made as early as this week."  In related news,
     while "some" in K.C. continue to "suspect" that Royals Chair
     David Glass "will sneak into the sales process and snatch
     the team away," Flanagan wrote, Glass "has no interest in
     becoming a bidder on the Royals" (K.C. STAR, 6/28).
