          NBA MOVES: The Knicks named MARK PANNES as their new
     VP/Marketing.  Pannes was Dir of Marketing Partnerships
     (Knicks)....The Heat promoted JEFF CRANEY to VP/Events;
     LORRAINE MONDICH to VP/Box Office Operations/Customer
     Relations; LARRY BLOCKER to Dir of Game Operations; ALISON
     KLEIN to Dir of Community Relations/Heat Family Outreach;
     BETSY KLEIN to Dir of Retail Ops; ROD SEGAL to Dir of
     Special Projects; PAUL SIMON to Corporate Development
     Manager; ANDREA HIGGS to Community Relations Coordinator;
     and KATHY COLE to Administrative Services Assistant (Heat).
          OTHER MOVES: Petersen Companies President & COO NEAL
     VITALE "abruptly resigned" from the magazine company.  In
     the interim, Vitale's responsibilities will be shared among
     senior management (Mary Huhn, N.Y. POST, 6/25).  STACEY
     LIPPMAN will join Petersen in the new position of President
     Brand & Marketing.  Lippman was Managing Partner and
     Corporate Media Dir at TBWA Chiat/Day (N.Y. TIMES, 6/25).
