ESPN's Peter Gammons reported that this past weekend's
Giants-Padres series was the biggest three-game series in
Padres history, drawing about 155,000 fans to Qualcomm
Stadium. Gammons, on the Padres: "No organization in
baseball does more for its community [and has] worked harder
to get a ballpark" ("Baseball Tonight," ESPN, 6/14).
WAYNE'S WORLD: In Miami, Greg Cote wrote that Marlins
Owner Wayne Huizenga "should lower his price" on the team to
$125M: "Huizenga owes fans a token of reparation for what is

harassment "has reached the bargaining table, but it seems

...Documents filed with the SEC for the Indians IPO show
that former AL President Bobby Brown; McDonald & Co.
Investments CEO William Summers Jr.; and Edward Ptaszek Jr.,
a partner in the law firm Baker & Hostetler, will join the
team's board of directors (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 6/13).
