THAT'S A WRAPT: EATERY FOLDS AFTER NAME DISPUTE WITH RAPTORS

Wraptors Restaurant in downtown Toronto "has shut down
six months after opening, and it is blaming" the Raptors and
the NBA "for its demise," according to Danny Gallagher of
the Toronto GLOBE & MAIL. The restaurant had recently been
in negotiations with NBAP to settle a dispute over the
restaurant's name and dinosaur logo, "both of which closely
resemble" the Raptors' trademarks. In a letter posted on
the restaurant door, Wraptors said that it had been "forced
to close down," and added, "We will pursue our battle with
this billion-dollar entity in the courts." NBA Canada
Publicist Allison George said that the NBA wasn't aware the
eatery closed, but added that "the two sides appeared close
to a settlement of their dispute" (GLOBE & MAIL, 6/11).
