          FROM BRANDWEEK: BRANDWEEK's Terry Lefton reports that
     NHL Enterprises is looking to fill its counter delivery
     sponsorship slot with UPS, but the deal "is contingent" on
     UPS's sponsorship status at the 2002 Olympic Games....Lefton
     also reports that FedEx is close to renewing its USA
     Basketball deal for "what's believed to be a six-year
     contract."...In other news, NJ-based Mastro Communications
     will handle technology, trading card and collectible PR
     projects for MLBP (BRANDWEEK, 6/8 issue).
          NOTES: Recently turned pro golfer Brad Elder signed a
     multiyear deal to play Mizuno irons (GOLFWEEK, 6/6)....Two-
     time NCAA indoor and outdoor pole vaulting champion Lawrence
     Johnson is featured in a new TV spot for TX-based FootAction
     USA.  The spot airs on network and national cable, including
     ESPN and MTV (FootAction)....New products from the Tribe:
     Indians SS Omar Vizquel will unveil Omar Vizquel Salsa today
     in Cleveland.  Indians C Sandy Alomar will unveil Sandy
     Alomar All-Star Steak Sauce in two weeks (USA TODAY, 6/9).
     ...Braves 1B Andres Galarraga took part in a photo shoot
     yesterday to publicize his new line of "Big Cat" clothing by
     Reebok (USA TODAY, 6/9)....In N.Y., Courtney Kane looks at
     the new ad campaign of TAG Heuer, which features athletes
     ranging from Grant Hill and Boris Becker, to runners Marion
     Jones and Colin Jackson, and Brazilian soccer player
     Leonardo (N.Y. TIMES, 6/9)....The SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's
     Dan Ehrlich reports that Nike has signed Italy's Inter Milan
     soccer team to an 11-year marketing deal, "reportedly worth"
     $120M (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/8 issue)....Quaker Oats'
     stock was unchanged Monday following Gatorade's extension of
     its NFL deal, closing at 57 1/8 per share (CNBC, 6/8).
