Speaker Peter Vallone's proposal for a referendum on Yankee
Stadium states, "That the referendum is flawed doesn't
matter ... because Vallone's real intent is to ride it to

DAILY NEWS, 6/9)....In Denver, Metropolitan Football Stadium
Board Vice Chair Pat Hammill, on naming a new Broncos
stadium after QB John Elway instead of securing naming
rights: "We could be sentimental about a lot of things.

don't think John is that sentimental" (DENVER POST, 6/7).
