THE FLEISHER KING: AGENT "FULLY EXPECTS" A LOCKOUT

The NBA and NBPA "have another negotiating meeting
scheduled Monday," according to USA TODAY's Greg Boeck. The
"sides are so far apart on the key issue -- the league wants
a hard salary cap, the union insists on a soft cap -- that a
lockout starting July 1 appears imminent" (USA TODAY, 5/28).
TALKS ON HOLD: Agent Eric Fleisher told Charley Walters
of the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS that "he fully expects" a
lockout July 1. He said that all talks regarding contract
extensions for his clients are on hold "until I know where
things are with the NBA" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 5/28).
