EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          JAMES NABORS has resigned as Exec VP/CFO at Russell
     Corp.  He has also resigned from the company board.  Nabors,
     who joined Russell in '68, offered no reason for his
     departure.  New President & CEO JOHN WARD said finding a
     successor to Nabors would be given "the highest priority"
     (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 4/27)....The Big 12 Conference named
     OK State Associate AD DAVE MARTIN as its new COO.  Martin
     will replace Associate Commissioner BRITTON BANOWSKY (FT.
     WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 4/25)....Columbia Sportswear named
     WOLFGANG FISCHLE as its Country Manager for Germany and
     Austria.  Fischle was most recently Sales Dir for Reebok
     Germany (Columbia Sportswear)....The Harlem Globetrotters
     named GERRY DUNCAN as its Dir of Booking (Globetrotters).
