MEDIA NOTES

          BASKETBALL: During tonight's Knicks/Raptors game, MSG
     Network, in conjunction with SporTVision Systems, will
     launch the first area public test of a new technology,
     AIRf/x, which measures the vertical leap of basketball
     players (MSG)....MEDIAWEEK's Langdon Brockinton reports that
     France's Canal+ will broadcast two exhibition games
     featuring the U.S. men's national basketball team, from
     Monte Carlo July 18 and 19, as it prepares for the World
     Championships.  TNT will televise seven World Championship
     games, July 29-August 9, in the early rounds, with NBC
     broadcasting the semifinals and finals (MEDIAWEEK, 4/13).
          NOTES: SportsTicker will be the official news and
     information distributor for the AFL during its '98 season
     (AFL)....SportsFan Radio Network signed an affiliation
     agreement with Dallas' KTCK-AM, where the station will air
     40 hours of SportsFan programming each week (SportsFan).
