"THE BIG ONE" OPENS; NIKE RUNS CLIPS ON BIZ WEB SITE

Michael Moore's "The Big One" opened this weekend,
earning $146,909 in 33 theaters -- an average of $4,452 per
theater (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 4/13). In Dallas, Jerome Weeks
reported that the film, made by Moore's own Dog Eat Dog
Films, cost less than $500,000 (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 4/13).
NIKE CUTS: Nike issued a release saying it will air
outtakes from "The Big One" on its Web site at www.nikebiz.
Outtakes include a scene where Moore tells Nike Chair Phil
Knight, "I honestly think you're the good guy. I honestly
think that Nike is the good guy here; you're not General
Motors," and Knight inviting Moore to tour Nike Indonesian
factories (Nike). Moore, meanwhile, says his own Web site
(www.dogeatdogfilms) will soon contain his own version of
     the film's outtakes (N.Y. POST, 4/14).
