EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          MARTIN J. GREENBERG has retired as Dir of the National
     Sports Law Institute.  In his honor, the Sports Law
     Institute has created the Martin J. Greenberg Award, given
     to a third-year law student in the study of sports law
     (NSLI)....The NHL Thrashers named DAN FROEHLICH Dir of
     Ticket Sales and WENDELL BYRNE Ticket Operations Manager. 
     Froehlich had been with the Lightning for the past three
     seasons and Byrne was at TicketMaster (Thrashers)....JACK
     GUZZE is leaving his position as Senior VP & CMO of Reebok. 
     He joined the company last May....FootAction USA hired MARK
     LARDIE as VP/Senior Divisional Merchandise Manager for
     Footwear.  Lardie joins FootAction from The Athlete's Foot,
     where he had been Exec VP/Merchandise since '96 (SPORTING
     GOODS BUSINESS, 3/25 issue)....Callaway Senior Exec VP &
     Chief of New Golf Club products RICHARD HELMSTETTER has
     signed a three-year extension with the company.  He has
     served in his current positions since '93 (Callaway).
