EX-NUGGET CH-ISSELS HIS WAY BACK INTO TEAM'S FRONT OFFICE

          Former Nuggets player and coach DAN ISSEL will be named
     the team's GM at an news conference today, according to Vicki
     Michaelis of the DENVER POST.  The Nuggets are also "expected
     to announce" that JAN VOLK will be retained "on a long-term
     basis as a consultant" (DENVER POST, 3/25).  In Denver, Mike
     Monroe reports that Ascent Sports Senior VP/Business Affairs
     STEVE STORY and VP/Operations KIRK DYER were "fired."  Ascent
     Sports President ELLEN ROBINSON said that newly hired Exec
     VP/Marketing DENNIS MANNION would assume some of Story's and
     Dyer's duties (DENVER POST, 3/25).
