POLLACK RESIGNS AS PUBLISHER OF THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY

JEFFREY POLLACK, President & Publisher of THE SPORTS
BUSINESS DAILY, has resigned from his position. Pollack:
"As reported this weekend, Times Mirror has purchased
InterZine Productions, owner of THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY.
While I wish Times Mirror the best of luck and success in
determining the future direction of THE DAILY, I have
decided that personally it is time for me to move on to new
challenges. Accordingly, I am resigning as President and
     Publisher, effective immediately."
LOOKING BACK: Pollack created and founded THE DAILY in
February 1994, and sold the publication to InterZine in
September 1996. Pollack: "When I started THE DAILY in 1994
our goal was to create the sports industry's first daily
trade publication and provide sports executives with a news
service that is preeminent in its scope and perspective. I
believe that goal has been accomplished and I hope that, in
the process, we have made a positive contribution to the
sports industry. Most importantly, over the last four
years, I have had an opportunity to work with some wonderful
people at THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY. For that, I will
     always be grateful" (THE DAILY).
