NAMES IN THE NEWS

          CAMMI GRANATO and TARA LIPINSKI were among those
     attending the Grammy's last night.  Lipinski joined BOYZ II
     MEN to present the award for Best Pop Album.  Other Grammy
     sights: Best Rap Solo Performance winner WILL SMITH and D.J.
     JAZZY JEFF were both wearing a Phillies jersey and cap. 
     Smith sported the red jersey, Jazzy Jeff the white.  Also,
     award presenter and winner PUFF DADDY wore a Yankees cap
     throughout the ceremony (CBS, 2/25)....DAVID LETTERMAN's Top
     Ten list was "Things Overheard At The Grammy's." No. 7: "If
     these awards are so important, why are they being broadcast
     on CBS?" (CBS, 2/25)....Pro bowler BRIAN VOSS attended the
     premiere of the movie "The Big Lebowski," and the bowling
     party afterwards at Chelsea Piers.  In Chicago, Bill Zwecker
     wrote that actress LAUREN BACALL told Voss "I didn't even
     know there were professional bowlers."  But the actress "was
     so smitten with the handsome Voss that she said, 'From now
     on I'll follow you on ESPN'" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 2/25).
