AHL & ECHL CREATE NEW JOINT MARKETING VENTURE FOR SPONSORS

The AHL and ECHL have established a joint marketing
initiative that will begin with the '98-99 season. Under
the plan, corporate sponsors will have the opportunity to
access the 46 combined league markets through a centralized
marketing platform. The AHL will represent the leagues to
corporations in various categories. The joint program,
which will include opportunities for in-arena signage,
product sampling and in-market consumer promos, will cover
19 states in the Eastern U.S. as well as three Canadian
provinces, reaching a population of 50 million people (AHL).
