FACILITY NOTES

          A BOSTON GLOBE editorial states the Red Sox, in their
     pursuit for a new ballpark, "are exhibiting the clumsiness
     of a Little Leaguer trying to hit a curveball.  They need to
     act like a developer, decide what and where they want to
     build, and convince the public and political leaders that
     their plan is in the best interest of the city."  While the
     city has floated an expanded Fenway Park, the Red Sox seem
     "reluctant but have not provided a public explanation or an
     alternative plan" (BOSTON GLOBE, 1/26)....Corporate sponsors
     may provide up to $40M towards the cost of a new arena for
     Fresno State.  PepsiCo and Save Mart Supermarkets are the
     first to publicly announce their support.  Save Mart will
     receive naming rights to the arena (AP/BOSTON GLOBE, 1/24).
