VAUGHN TAKES OUT BOSTON ADS TO DISCUSS DUI ACCIDENT

Red Sox 1B MO VAUGHN took out advertisements in both
the Boston Globe and Boston Herald sports sections on
Saturday expressing regret over his recent arrest on DUI
charges. The text read: "A Message From Mo Vaughn: Last
week I was involved in an unfortunate accident. I clearly
understand the serious nature of this situation and am
grateful no one was injured. ... Despite this setback I
fully intend to continue my work in the community so that we
do not lose the task at hand. I realize that I am
considered a role model and not a saint." (1/17).
