NBC SPORTS AND MSNBC.COM TEAM ON NEW SPORTS WEB SITE

          NBC Sports and MSNBC on the Internet (msnbc.com) have
     formed MSNBCSports.com, the official Web site of NBC Sports. 
     The site will offer news, commentary and analysis of NBC
     Sports broadcasts, coverage of postgame news conferences and
     online chats with NBC Sports broadcasters and analysts.  The
     site will also use MSNBC's Sports Ticker to let users track
     teams online (NBC Sports).  Microsoft VP/News, Sports &
     Commentary Peter Neupert said that the site "will be for a
     more casual fan," which "will help differentiate" it from
     ESPN SportsZone or CBS SportsLine" (N.Y. POST, 1/14).
