          Three 30-second spots for Fox Sports News, featuring
     Jimmy Johnson and William "Refrigerator" Perry, broke over
     the holidays.  The national promo is produced by Fox Sports
     Net and has the tag, "Fox Sports News.  We are there"
     (ADWEEK, 1/12 issue)....Former MLB player Bernie Carbo has
     filed suit against MLB over the unauthorized use of his
     appearance in a commercial aired by MCI during the '97 World
     Series (THE DAILY)....Lasers G Jennifer Azzi met with Reebok
     officials last week "to approve the final design of her
     basketball shoe, which debuts in stores" in September (S.F.
     CHRONICLE, 1/14).....The Granato family, including Sharks C
     Tony, Columbus Chill Coach Don, and U.S. Women's hockey
     player Cammi, will film a commercial spot for AT&T.  The
     spot "attempts to capture the bond kept by the busy Granatos
     by using" AT&T products (COLUMBUS DISPATCH, 1/12).
