MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          BRANDWEEK NOTES: MBNA is the first sponsor signed up
     for Vyvx's ChoiceSeat system at Super Bowl XXXII, according
     to BRANDWEEK's Terry Lefton.  MBNA will use ChoiceSeat to
     allow direct ordering of its NFL Visa card.  ChoiceSeat ad
     packages are being offered "for up to" $75,000 for a
     guarantee of 30 minutes of onscreen banner exposure, plus a
     link to a sponsor's Web site....adidas will supply NFL on-
     field and sideline apparel to the Bucs beginning next
     season, replacing Wilson and Logo Athletic.  Starter adds
     the Redskins for sidelines and uniforms, while Champion
     picks up the Bengals.  The Redskins and Bengals had Wilson
     designations, but Wilson "won't be on NFL fields next season
     other than as the official football" (BRANDWEEK, 1/12).
          COLLECTIBLES: HBO's Jim Lampley examined fraud within
     the $750M sports memorabilia industry on "Real Sports." 
     Lampley spoke with former Reds/Twins batboy Randall
     Marshall, who said he used to forge players' signatures on
     merchandise.  Marshall: "They asked me many times, personnel
     did, in the clubhouse, to sign various autographs on
     baseballs or photographs" ("Real Sports," HBO, 1/12).
