CAPITAL EMBARRASSMENT? BERUBE SUSPENDED FOR RACIAL INCIDENT

          The NHL suspended Capitals F Craig Berube yesterday for
     one game without pay for an "offensive comment" Berube made
     to Panthers F Peter Worrell in Sunday's game, according to
     Rachel Alexander of the WASHINGTON POST.  Alexander:
     "Berube, who is a Native American, called Worrell, who is
     black, a 'monkey' during a third-period scuffle."  Caps GM
     George McPhee said that despite a "lack of intent" by
     Berube, he would like the team "to undergo some sort of
     sensitivity session, although he was not sure what form that
     would take" (Rachel Alexander, WASHINGTON POST, 11/26).
